DAILY BREAD — Glory That Belongs to God Alone

ADVICE:
Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”
— 1 Corinthians 1:31

PROMISE:
The righteous will rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in Him;
all the upright in heart will glory in Him!
— Psalm 64:9

How priceless is Your unfailing love, O God!
People take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
— Psalm 36:7

Heavenly Father,
I come before You with an open heart, longing to prepare well for this day.
Help me to quiet my spirit and make myself wholly available to You.
Clarify my intentions, purify my desires, and center my thoughts in Your will.
So often, my days are filled with noise and striving after things that fade--
but You alone give purpose that endures.

Lord Jesus Christ,
You who call me to follow You with a sincere heart,
receive the gift of all that I am today.
Take my plans, my efforts, my frustrations, and my failings--
let them become moments of grace in Your hands.
Whatever I do, may it flow from a heart renewed by Your love.

Holy Spirit,
Be the calm within my restlessness,
the light within my confusion,
and the peace that steadies me amid my busyness.
Guide every encounter, every reflection, and every choice I make.

Let this day, in all its beauty and imperfection,
rise as an offering of praise to the glory of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
