DAILY BREAD — Wisdom That Shines Through Gentle Instruction

ADVICE:
And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone,
able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed,
in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth.

Gracious Father,
Thank You for the precious gift of this new day--
for breath, for light, and for the quiet invitation to begin again.
Open my eyes to see this day as a sacred opportunity
to live in Your love and reflect Your goodness.

Lord Jesus Christ,
As I come before You, refresh my spirit and renew my strength.
Help me to discover Your presence in each person I meet
and in every event I encounter.
Teach me when to speak and when to listen,
when to ponder and when to share.
In moments of challenge or decision,
attune my heart to the gentle whisper of Your wisdom.
When I tend to ordinary and unseen tasks,
bless me with simple joy and quiet gratitude.

Holy Spirit,
When my path is smooth, fill me with rejoicing.
When the road grows difficult, surprise me with new possibilities.
And when life feels overwhelming, call me into stillness--
into Sabbath moments that restore Your peace and harmony within me.

Let my living today be a song of praise,
revealing the beauty and goodness of God in all I do.
