DAILY BREAD — Gladness Under the Reign of God ADVICE: The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad. Psalm 97:1 PROMISE: The Lord will lay bare His holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God. Isaiah 52:10 PRAYER: The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of your enemies!” Psalm 110:2 Dear Heavenly Father,
You reign over heaven and earth, and because Your throne stands firm, my heart can rest in gladness. When the world feels uncertain, remind me that Your sovereignty does not waver. Let my joy be rooted not in changing circumstances but in the unshakable truth that You rule in righteousness and faithfulness. Lord Jesus Christ, You are the King whom the Father has set upon Zion. Reveal Your saving power in the world and in my life. Where darkness seems to prevail, let Your light break forth. Where despair whispers defeat, remind me that Your kingdom advances and Your salvation will be seen to the ends of the earth. Holy Spirit, establish the rule of Christ within me. Subdue my fears, quiet my doubts, and strengthen my faith so that I may stand firm under the authority of the risen King. Let my life bear witness to the joy, courage, and peace that flow from living under Your righteous reign. Amen.
