DAILY BREAD — Joy Rooted in God’s Salvation ADVICE: Rejoice always. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 PROMISE: Those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 35:10 PRAYER: Let the light of Your face shine on us. Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound. Psalm 4:6–7 Dear Heavenly Father,
Teach me the joy that endures beyond circumstance. Your command to rejoice is not a denial of sorrow but a summons to anchor my heart in Your unchanging faithfulness. Lift my gaze from what is passing to what is promised. Let my joy be rooted in who You are and in what You have secured for Your people. Lord Jesus Christ, You are the One who rescues and restores. The song of Zion is the song of redemption accomplished by Your hand. Place that song within me. When sorrow presses in, remind me that it is not the final word. In You, joy is not fragile but everlasting, secured by Your victory and guaranteed by Your return. Holy Spirit, let the light of God’s face be my gladness. Fill my heart with a joy deeper than outward abundance—a joy that abides even when circumstances change. Establish in me a quiet, steady delight in the Lord, so that my life bears witness to the hope and peace found in Him alone. Amen.
