DAILY BREAD — Repentance and Faith in the Crucified Christ ADVICE: Repent and believe the good news! Mark 1:15 PROMISE: Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in Him. John 3:14–15 PRAYER: “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9:24 Dear Heavenly Father,
Call me again to repentance that is thorough and sincere. Turn me not only from visible sins, but from the deeper roots of pride and self-reliance. Let repentance be a continual returning—a reorientation of my whole life toward You. Grant that I would not trust in my own strength, but rest in the mercy You freely give in Christ. Lord Jesus Christ, You were lifted up for sinners, that all who look to You in faith might live. Fix my gaze upon Your cross. When doubt clouds my vision, draw my eyes again to Your finished work. Let Your sacrifice steady my heart and renew my assurance that eternal life is found in You alone. Holy Spirit, strengthen the faith You have begun. Where belief is weak, make it firm; where trust trembles, establish it. Teach me to cling to Christ with a faith that rests not on feeling, but on Your faithful promise. “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:22) Amen.
