DAILY BREAD — Listening that Feeds the Soul ADVICE: Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. Isaiah 55:2 PROMISE: If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with Me. Revelation 3:20 PRAYER: Cause me to understand the way of Your precepts, that I may meditate on Your wonderful deeds. Psalm 119:27 Dear Heavenly Father,
You call me not only to hear, but to feed upon what is truly good. Turn my appetite away from what cannot satisfy and train my heart to delight in Your Word. Let listening become nourishment—truth received, believed, and digested into the fabric of my life. Lord Jesus Christ, Your voice calls for response. Keep me from delay or indifference. When You knock, grant me readiness to open. Let communion with You be my daily portion, where Your presence sustains me and Your words renew my strength. Teach me that fellowship with You is the richest feast the soul can know. Holy Spirit, grant understanding that leads to meditation and obedience. Open the Scriptures to me, not as distant words, but as living truth. Fix my mind on Your works until they shape my affections and direct my steps. Make Your Word the steady guide of my life and the deep joy of my heart. Amen.
