DAILY BREAD — Refuge and Steadfast Peace ADVICE: It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. Psalm 118:8 PROMISE: You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. Isaiah 26:3 PRAYER: Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life; You stretch out Your hand against the anger of my foes; with Your right hand You save me. Psalm 138:7 Dear Heavenly Father,
Teach me to take refuge in You above every lesser shelter. When my heart drifts toward self-reliance or misplaced trust, draw me back to the safety of Your presence. You are my dwelling place from generation to generation. Establish my confidence in Your unchanging character, that I may stand secure even when all else shifts. Lord Jesus Christ, Fix my mind upon You. When anxious thoughts press in, steady my heart with Your perfect peace. Let trust displace fear, and let Your finished work assure me that I am held fast in Your care. Teach me to abide in You, for in You alone is rest for my soul. Holy Spirit, Preserve me in the midst of trouble. Stretch out Your mighty hand to guard and sustain me. Where fear seeks to rise, speak peace. Where weakness is felt, supply strength. Root me deeply in the refuge of God so that my life may remain calm, steadfast, and anchored in hope. Amen.
