DAILY BREAD — Asking for the Rain of God’s Grace ADVICE: Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain. Zechariah 10:1a PROMISE: The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1b PRAYER: Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down. Isaiah 64:1 Dear Heavenly Father,
You teach me to ask, even when the season already seems appointed. Keep me from self-sufficiency and from quiet resignation. When my soul feels dry, turn me again to prayer, that I may seek from Your hand the life I cannot produce. Let me look beyond visible conditions and trust that You alone send the rain that makes growth possible. Lord Jesus Christ, You are the true giver of living water. You know the fields of my life—what is barren, what is waiting, what has begun to wither. Visit these places with Your grace. Let Your presence bring renewal where there has been delay, and fruit where there has been longing. Teach me to abide in You, for apart from You there is no lasting growth. Holy Spirit, come with power and gentleness. Where doubt has hardened the ground, soften it. Where weariness has taken root, revive it. Let Your work be like rain that quietly but surely brings life. Form in me a dependence that prays, a faith that waits, and a hope that trusts in the abundance of God.
