DAILY BREAD — Discernment That Holds Fast to the Good

ADVICE:
But test them all; hold on to what is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:21

PROMISE:
Who, then, are those who fear the Lord? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose. Psalm 25:12

Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in You. Psalm 25:20

Dear Heavenly Father,
Grant me discernment shaped by Your Word. In a world filled with many voices, teach me to examine carefully what I hear and believe. Protect me from deception and from the subtle drift away from truth. Let my mind and heart cling firmly to what is good, holy, and pleasing in Your sight.

Lord Jesus Christ,
You are the Truth who guides the path of those who fear the Lord. In moments of uncertainty, instruct me in the way I should walk. Form my desires so that I long for what is righteous, and give me courage to follow Your wisdom even when the path is difficult.

Holy Spirit,
be my guard and my refuge. When I feel vulnerable or unsure, surround me with Your wisdom and protection. Steady my faith, rescue me from error, and keep my life anchored in the truth that leads to life.
