DAILY BREAD — Living as Pilgrims with Reverent Hope

ADVICE:
Live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. 1 Peter 1:17

PROMISE:
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His unfailing love. Psalm 33:18

Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. Psalm 39:4

Dear Heavenly Father,
Teach me to live as a pilgrim in this world. My days here are brief, entrusted to me by Your wisdom and providence. Guard my heart from pride, distraction, and false security. Let reverent fear shape the way I think, choose, and live, so that every moment becomes an offering of faithfulness before You.

Lord Jesus Christ,
My hope rests in Your unfailing love. Even when the world feels uncertain or fragile, remind me that Your eyes are upon those who trust in You. Under Your watchful care I am never forgotten, never unseen. Lead me to walk with courage and humility, remembering that my true citizenship is in Your kingdom.

Holy Spirit,
teach me the wisdom that comes from knowing life’s brevity. Let the awareness of passing days awaken diligence in faith, tenderness in love, and seriousness in devotion. Shape my heart so that every step I take reflects the hope of eternity and the joy of belonging to God.
