DAILY BREAD — Trusting God in the Darkness ADVICE: Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of His servant? Let the one who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on their God. Isaiah 50:10 PROMISE: He does not ignore the cries of the afflicted. Psalm 9:12 PRAYER: Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death. Psalm 9:13 Dear Heavenly Father,
When the path grows dim and understanding fails, teach me the obedience of faith. Even when I walk in darkness and see no light ahead, let me trust in Your holy name. Form within me the reverent fear that leads to steadfast reliance upon You, so that my faith rests not on what I see but on who You are. Lord Jesus Christ, You are the Servant whose voice calls us to trust the Father even in the valley of shadows. When my heart grows heavy and my strength falters, remind me that You hear the cry of the afflicted. You are the compassionate Redeemer who gathers every tear and answers every prayer according to perfect wisdom. Holy Spirit, lift me up when despair presses close. Renew my hope and strengthen my soul to stand firm in the quiet confidence of God’s faithfulness. Teach me to rely on the Lord when light is hidden, trusting that the One who hears my cry will also guide me safely through the night. Amen.
