DAILY BREAD — Speaking Truth in Love ADVICE: Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbour, for we are all members of one body. — Ephesians 4:25 PROMISE: The tongue of the wise brings healing. — Proverbs 12:18 PRAYER: Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me and teach me Your law. — Psalm 119:29 Father God,
You know my heart completely. You see my words before I speak them, and You know how easily truth can be bent by fear, pride, or self-protection. Today I choose to put off falsehood. Teach me to speak truthfully-- not to wound, but to honour the body of Christ of which I am a part. Lord Jesus Christ, You are the Truth made flesh. When my tongue is sharp, careless, or silent when it should speak, forgive me. Shape my words so they bring healing and not harm. Let my voice reflect Your mercy, Your courage, and Your love for my neighbour. Holy Spirit, guard my heart and guide my speech. Keep me from deceitful ways. Be gracious to me and teach me Your law. Place wisdom on my lips, so that my words become instruments of peace, unity, and grace. I offer myself to You again-- my heart, my mind, and my words. Amen. I wish you a blessed day, With Love, Rev. Frank
