DAILY BREAD — Chosen and Given Peace

ADVICE:
Seek peace and pursue it.

PROMISE:
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.

PRAYER:
Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.
— Isaiah 26:12

Dear Lord,

I look to You for hope, joy, and peace—not as ideas to grasp, but as gifts to receive. You call me not only to desire peace, but to seek it actively and to pursue it faithfully. Give me courage to do all that You ask of me, even when obedience feels costly or unclear.

At the same time, give me the wisdom and bravery to refrain from what does not come from You. Teach me that peace is sometimes found as much in what I release as in what I embrace. Shape my steps so they reflect Your grace, and help me trust Your love more deeply—especially when I am tempted to rely on my own strength or understanding.

Let the peace You give—not the peace the world offers—guard my heart and guide my choices today.
