DAILY BREAD — Thirst That Is Truly Satisfied ADVICE: Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. — Revelation 22:17 PROMISE: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. — Matthew 5:6 PRAYER: As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. — Psalm 42:1–2 Dear God,
Thank You for new beginnings. A fresh year lies before me, full of possibility and invitation. I do not want to waste this gift by chasing what cannot satisfy. Instead, I want my deepest hunger to be for You—Your righteousness, Your presence, Your will. Teach me to recognize the difference between true thirst and passing desire. Shape my faithfulness in the small opportunities as well as the large ones. As I step into this year, help me receive again the free gift You offer—life that flows from You alone. I place this year into Your hands, trusting that You will fill what I bring to You in faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen. I wish you a blessed day, With Love, Rev. Frank
