DAILY BREAD — Clothed in Peace

ADVICE:
So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless, and at peace with Christ Jesus.
— 2 Peter 3:14

PROMISE:
Peace be on God’s people.
— Psalm 125:5

Sovereign Lord, as You have promised, You may now dismiss Your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen Your salvation.
— Luke 2:29–30

Heavenly Father,
Your Word exhorts me: “Since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless, and at peace with Christ Jesus.” Father, refine my heart. Help me live with holiness, integrity, and peace as I wait for the fullness of Christ’s coming. I hold onto Your promise: “Peace be on God’s people.” Let Your peace rest upon my life, my home, and all who love Your name.

Lord Jesus Christ,
You are my peace, my salvation, and my righteousness. Make me blameless through Your grace and spotless through Your cleansing blood. Teach me to walk each day in Your peace—a peace deeper than fear, stronger than sorrow, and truer than anything the world offers. Keep my heart steady in Your salvation.

Holy Spirit,
I pray with Simeon: “Sovereign Lord, as You have promised, You may now dismiss Your servant in peace, for my eyes have seen Your salvation.” Holy Spirit, open my eyes to the salvation already given in Christ. Fill me with reverence, joy, and quiet confidence. Let the peace of God rule my heart and direct my steps.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
Clothe me in holiness, surround me with peace, and keep me ready for the day of Christ.
