DAILY BREAD — Learning to Pray with Gratitude ADVICE: Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. — Colossians 4:2 PROMISE: He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. — Psalm 145:19 PRAYER: Lord, teach us to pray. — Luke 11:1 Gracious God,
I devote myself to prayer, seeking to remain watchful and thankful in Your presence. Train my attention toward Your work in my life, so that gratitude becomes the posture of my heart rather than an occasional response. Let prayer shape the way I notice Your faithfulness in ordinary and unseen moments. Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You as the disciples once did and ask simply and honestly: teach me to pray. Form my words and my silence. Teach me when to speak and when to listen. Let prayer draw me nearer to the Father—not as a task to complete, but as a relationship to inhabit. I trust that You hear my cry and attend to the deepest longings shaped by reverence for You. Holy Spirit, guide me in prayer when language fails or clarity is absent. Keep my heart alert, my faith awake, and my gratitude rooted in truth rather than circumstance. Teach me perseverance in prayer, confidence in God’s nearness, and trust in His saving work. To You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, be glory and praise, now and forever. Amen. I wish you a blessed day, With Love, Rev. Frank
