DAILY BREAD — Waiting with Hope ADVICE: Wait for the Lord; be strong, take heart, and wait for the Lord. — Psalm 27:14 PROMISE: But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. — Isaiah 40:31 PRAYER: In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. — Psalm 5:3 Gracious God,
I wait for You this morning with an open and trusting heart. Your command to wait is not passive resignation, but an act of strength and courage shaped by faith. Even when waiting stretches my patience or unsettles my plans, I trust that You are neither absent nor delayed. I place my requests before You, not to hurry Your hand, but to rest in the assurance that You hear and attend to my voice. Lord Jesus Christ, When my strength feels thin and my progress slow, draw me back to You. You know the weight of weariness and the quiet fears that accompany uncertainty. Teach me to wait with hope rather than frustration, to see waiting not as lost time, but as space where grace is quietly at work. Let my trust be formed not by outcomes, but by Your faithful presence. Holy Spirit, Renew my strength according to Your promise. Lift my heart when I feel faint, steady my steps when the path feels long, and give me endurance for the walk set before me. Shape within me a patient confidence that hopes in the Lord and does not lose heart. I wait for You, O God, trusting that You will sustain me today and always. Amen. I wish you a blessed day, With Love, Rev. Frank
