DAILY BREAD — Putting to Death the Earthly Nature

ADVICE:
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature. Colossians 3:5

PROMISE:
For if you live according to the flesh, you will die. Romans 8:13

​PRAYER:
Help us, God our Saviour, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake. Psalm 79:9

Heavenly Father,
grant us wisdom, strength, and power to live in the Spirit. Teach us to put to death the desires of our earthly nature and to walk in holiness and obedience. Help us to be strong and courageous, guided by Your gifts, and equipped to resist temptation. Whisper Your guidance when we must flee from sin, and fortify our hearts when we must stand firm.

Lord Jesus Christ,
we trust in Your victory over sin and death. Lead us to live according to Your Spirit, that our lives may honor You and draw others toward Your truth. Protect our families and loved ones, and surround us with Your care and discernment. May we recognize Your voice, follow Your ways, and rejoice in the life You give.

Holy Spirit,
fill us with discernment, clarity, and courage. Keep us aware of the snares of sin and the strategies of the enemy. Lead us into righteousness, and teach us to walk faithfully in God’s paths.

We rely on You—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--
to deliver, guide, and preserve us.
Amen.
