DAILY BREAD — Help in the Day of Trouble

ADVICE:
Call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honour Me.
— Psalm 50:15

PROMISE:
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
— Psalm 46:1

Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless.
— Psalm 60:11

Father God,
today I call on You in my trouble,
just as You invite me to do.
You see what weighs on my heart,
the fears I cannot fix
and the battles I cannot win on my own.
I confess that human strength is limited
and human help often fails.
I place my trust in You alone.

Lord Jesus Christ,
You are my refuge and my strength,
present with me in every storm.
When I feel surrounded, weakened, or afraid,
remind me that You stand with me,
that Your cross has already faced the enemy,
and that Your love will not let me go.
Deliver me, Lord,
so that my life may honour You.

Holy Spirit,
be my help in this moment.
Strengthen my faith when it feels small.
Teach me to rely not on myself,
but on the power and presence of God.
Lead me into trust,
into peace,
and into praise--
even before the victory is visible.

I call on You now, O God,
and I wait for Your deliverance.
Amen.
