DAILY BREAD — Our Ever-Present Help in Trouble

ADVICE:
Call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me. Psalm 50:15

PROMISE:
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

​PRAYER:
Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. Psalm 60:11

Almighty God, Heavenly Father,
in the day of trouble we call upon You.
You alone are our refuge and strength,
our ever-present help when human help fails.
Deliver us, not for our glory,
but that we may honor Your holy name.

Lord Jesus Christ,
You are our strong Savior and faithful Shepherd.
Make us strong and courageous for the road ahead.
Grant us ability beyond what we feel able,
and let Your grace be sufficient in our weakness.
May our lives testify to Your power and mercy.

Holy Spirit,
fill us with wisdom, strength, and holy boldness.
Let Your gifts flow freely through us,
so that Christ is honored
and others are drawn to the hope found in Him.
Be our aid against every enemy,
and steady our hearts in confident trust.

We rest in You—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--
our refuge, our strength, and our deliverer.
Amen.
