DAILY BREAD — Choosing to Serve ADVICE: Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve. — Joshua 24:15 PROMISE: Whoever serves Me must follow Me; and where I am, My servant also will be. My Father will honour the one who serves Me. — John 12:26 PRAYER: Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. — John 6:68 Heavenly Father,
As I stand on the threshold of a new year, I offer You my deepest gratitude for the blessings of the year gone by. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your love, and Your constant presence in my life. I acknowledge Your sovereignty over the days past and the days yet to come. Your Word challenges me: “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.” Father, today I choose You. I choose to serve You with my heart, my mind, my strength, and my life. I hold onto Your promise that “My Father will honour the one who serves Me.” Help me serve You with humility, sincerity, and joy, trusting that Your honour is greater than all earthly rewards. Lord Jesus Christ, You say, “Whoever serves Me must follow Me, and where I am, My servant also will be.” Jesus, I desire to follow You closely—where You lead, I will go; what You command, I will obey. You are my Shepherd, my Teacher, and my Lord. When my heart hesitates, speak again Your words of life. Holy Spirit, I echo Peter’s confession: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” Strengthen my resolve. Draw my heart away from every distraction and anchor my devotion in Christ alone. Empower me to serve with love, courage, and faithfulness each day. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Today and always, I choose to serve You alone. Lead me, guide me, and keep me faithful. Amen. I wish you a blessed New Year! With Love, Rev. Frank
