DAILY BREAD — Guarded Hearts, Surrendered Wills

ADVICE:
Do not give the devil a foothold. Ephesians 4:27

PROMISE:
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7/b

Do not be far from me, my God; come quickly, God, to help me. Psalm 71:12

Almighty God, I place my dreams and desires before You. Close every door through which temptation might gain ground in my heart. Teach me vigilance in thought, word, and action, that no hidden compromise would weaken my walk with You.

Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen me to resist evil firmly and confidently, trusting in Your finished victory over sin and Satan. Let my resistance be rooted not in self-reliance, but in submission to You, for it is written:

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

Holy Spirit, come quickly to my aid. Align my aspirations with the Father’s will and conform my ambitions to the pattern of Christ’s obedience. Guard my mind, steady my heart, and direct my steps so that my life may reflect the triumph of grace over darkness.

May I walk watchfully, humbly, and confidently—kept by Your power.

In Jesus’ precious Name, I pray. Amen.
