DAILY BREAD — Ready to Meet a Merciful God

ADVICE:
Israel, prepare to meet your God. Amos 4:12

PROMISE:
For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more. Hebrews 8:12

Almighty God, Heavenly Father,
I come before You with reverence, mindful that to meet You is both a solemn and gracious reality. Your holiness calls me to readiness; Your mercy invites me to draw near. I confess my sin and cast myself upon Your compassion. Have mercy on me, a sinner. Cleanse my heart and prepare me to stand before You—not in my righteousness, but in the righteousness You provide.

Lord Jesus Christ,
You have borne my sin and secured the covenant promise of forgiveness. Through Your once-for-all sacrifice, my guilt is removed and my conscience is cleansed. Teach me to live in daily repentance and grateful obedience, walking in the freedom purchased by Your blood and resting in the assurance that my sins are remembered no more.

Holy Spirit,
search me and renew me from within. Expose what is hidden, refine what is impure, and strengthen what is weak. Form in me a watchful heart, ready to meet my God at any hour—steadfast in faith, grounded in mercy, and fruitful in holiness.

Amen.
