DAILY BREAD — Softened Hearts, Nearness in Trouble ADVICE: Do not harden your hearts. Hebrews 3:8 PROMISE: The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 PRAYER: Do not hide Your face from Your servant; answer me quickly, for I am in trouble. Psalm 69:17 My dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You with an open heart, asking You to soften anything within me that has grown hard or closed. In my trouble and weakness, I cry out to You—do not hide Your face from me, but answer me quickly with Your mercy and compassion. You are close to the brokenhearted, and I trust that You see my pain and hear my prayer. My Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for drawing near to those who are crushed in spirit. In my sorrow and fear, I look to You as my Savior and friend. Hold me in Your grace, lift my burden, and give me hope through Your presence and love. Holy Spirit, come and work gently within me. Heal my wounded heart, renew my strength, and help me remain open and responsive to God’s voice, so I may walk in faith, trust, and peace. We rest in You—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-- trusting that You are near in every trouble. Amen.
