DAILY BREAD — Waiting with Praise ADVICE: Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You, too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. — James 5:7–8 PROMISE: The Lord watches over you — the Lord is your shade at your right hand. — Psalm 121:5 PRAYER: Hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my cry for help; do not be deaf to my weeping. I dwell with you as a foreigner, a stranger, as all my ancestors were. — Psalm 39:12 Father, I praise You for the long work of Your faithfulness in my life. You remain steady when I am unsteady; Your love continues even when my response falters. You forgive what binds me and free me from burdens I could never remove myself. In this, praise becomes not an emotion but a discipline of trust.
Your presence reframes everything. It does not remove uncertainty, but it places it within Your care. It does not rush outcomes, but it steadies my heart while I wait. Teach me to live this day contentedly—not because circumstances are settled, but because You are. As I face what lies ahead, remind me that patience is not passivity but hope practiced over time. Let praise rise not only after deliverance, but during the waiting. May my trust grow firm as the farmer’s—rooted in Your promises, confident that You are at work even when I cannot yet see the harvest. Amen. I wish you a blessed day, With Love, Rev. Frank
