DAILY BREAD — A Faithful Heart at Work ADVICE: See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. — Hebrews 3:12 PROMISE: I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart. — Jeremiah 24:7 PRAYER: But I pray to you, Lord, in the time of your favour; in your great love, O God, answer me with your sure salvation. — Psalm 69:13 Establish the work of my hands by shaping my heart before shaping my output. Form in me attentiveness rather than anxiety, patience rather than hurry, and insight rather than mere efficiency. Guard me from distractions that fragment my focus, and from technologies that promise speed but quietly drain wisdom. Let my work be led by Your Spirit—joyful, creative, and offered as worship rather than performance.
Teach me to hold together my work, my family life, my service in the church, and my rest in a way that reflects Your order and peace. Align these callings so that none crowds out the others, and so that my life bears fruit that lasts for Your kingdom rather than for my own sense of achievement. As I work, fix my eyes on Jesus and on His finished work—the treasure I could never earn, the rest I could never manufacture, and the living hope that gives meaning to every task. Let that hope steady my hands and purify my motives, so that all I do flows from faith rather than fear. Amen. I wish you a blessed day, With Love, Rev. Frank
