DAILY BREAD — Living as Faithful Pilgrims ADVICE: Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. 1 Peter 2:11 PROMISE: “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water.” Jeremiah 17:7–8 PRAYER: But as for me, afflicted and in pain – may your salvation, God, protect me. Psalm 69:29 Heavenly Father,
Your Word urges me, as a foreigner and exile in this world, “to abstain from sinful desires which wage war against the soul.” Father, guard my heart. Strengthen my resolve to turn from anything that pulls me away from You. I hold tightly to Your promise: “Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD… they will be like a tree planted by the water.” Plant my life beside the streams of Your grace so that I may remain steady, nourished, and unshaken. Lord Jesus Christ, You are my Saviour, my righteousness, and my defender. When I feel the battle within my soul, be my strength and my victory. I pray with the psalmist: “But as for me, afflicted and in pain — may Your salvation, O God, protect me.” Jesus, cover me with Your mercy, heal my wounded places, and shelter me in Your saving love. Holy Spirit, Come and fill me with wisdom, purity, and holy desire. Renew my mind, cleanse my motives, and empower me to live as a faithful pilgrim in this world. Let Your presence be the living water that refreshes me daily, helping me grow in holiness, confidence, and unshakable trust. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Be my protection, my source, and my strength—today and always. Amen. I wish you a blessed day, With Love, Rev. Frank
