DAILY BREAD — Listen to the Beloved Son

ADVICE:
“This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!” Matthew 17:5

Listen, that you may live. Isaiah 55:3

Dear Heavenly Father,
Give me a hearing heart. Draw me away from the noise that dulls attention and the pride that resists instruction. Place me under Your Word so that listening becomes the posture of my life. Let hearing not remain at the surface, but descend into obedience, where Your voice governs my thoughts and actions.

Lord Jesus Christ,
You are the beloved Son to whom all must listen. You do not merely inform; You call, command, and give life. Teach me to receive Your words as those who sat at Your feet, ready to follow. Let Your voice carry final authority in my decisions, so that my life is shaped not by competing claims, but by Your truth alone.

Holy Spirit,
open the Scriptures and press them into my understanding. Make the Word living and discerning within me, so that right and wrong are not vague but clearly seen. As light increases, deepen my love for what is good and sharpen my rejection of what leads away from God. Form in me a steady obedience that reflects wisdom learned at Your feet.

“Everyone then who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24)
