DAILY BREAD — The Implanted Word and Obedient Faith ADVICE: Humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. James 1:21 PROMISE: Once made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him. Hebrews 5:9 PRAYER: Save me, Lord, and I will keep Your statutes. Psalm 119:146 Dear Heavenly Father,
Grant me a heart that receives Your Word without resistance. Let it be more than something I hear—cause it to be implanted deeply, taking root beneath the surface of my thoughts and affections. Remove pride that filters or softens what You speak. Let Your truth work with full authority, so that it reshapes my desires and bears the fruit of righteousness. Lord Jesus Christ, You are the source and substance of salvation, made perfect through obedience and suffering. Form in me the obedience that flows from faith—one that does not earn Your grace but responds to it. Keep me from separating belief from practice. Let my life be conformed to Yours, so that trusting You and following You remain inseparable realities. Holy Spirit, take what is planted and make it living and active within me. Guard it from being choked by distraction or hardened by sin. Sustain me in the path of Your statutes, not by my strength, but by Your preserving power. Let Your work in me endure, so that perseverance itself becomes a testimony of grace. “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:12–13) Amen.
