DAILY BREAD — Cultivating a Spirit of Compassion ADVICE: Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. Hebrews 13:3 PROMISE: If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. Isaiah 58:10 PRAYER: Blessed is the one You discipline, Lord, the one you teach from your law; You grant them relief from days of trouble. Psalm 94:12-13 Dear Heavenly Father,
Give me a compassionate heart that does not overlook the suffering of others. Help me remember those who are mistreated and to care deeply for those who are in need. Guard me from indifference, and teach me to reflect Your mercy in practical ways. Lord Jesus Christ, When I give of myself for the hungry and the oppressed, let Your light rise in my darkness. Transform acts of compassion into testimonies of Your love. Use my small obedience to shine Your glory in broken places. Precious Holy Spirit, Blessed is the one You discipline, Lord, the one You teach from Your law. Shape me through correction and guide me through trouble. Grant relief in hard days and deepen my understanding of Your righteous ways. Amen.
