DAILY BREAD — Faith that Trusts and Loves

ADVICE:
And this is His command: to believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as He commanded us. 1 John 3:23

PROMISE:
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Acts 16:31

Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in You. Psalm 84:12

Dear Heavenly Father,
Teach me to hold faith and love together as You have joined them. Guard me from a belief that remains only intellectual and from a love that is detached from truth. Strengthen my trust in Your Son so that it becomes living faith—expressed through obedience, mercy, patience, and sacrificial care for others. Let my confidence in Christ shape the way I treat those around me.

Lord Jesus Christ,
You are the object of saving faith and the source of transforming love. Thank You for the promise that all who believe in You are saved by grace alone. Deepen my reliance upon You daily. Let Your gospel not remain confined to my private heart, but extend through my household, my friendships, and my witness. May those around me see in my life the peace and security that come from belonging to You.

Holy Spirit,
root my soul firmly in trust. When fear, uncertainty, or distraction pull at my heart, return me to the steadfastness found in God alone. Produce within me the fruit of love that naturally grows from true faith. Make my life a testimony that trusting Christ does not diminish love for others, but enlarges and purifies it.

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.” (Galatians 5:6)
