DAILY BREAD — Joy in Suffering, Glory to Come ADVICE: Rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:13 PROMISE: If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 1 Peter 4:14 PRAYER: You armed me with strength for battle; You humbled my adversaries before me. Psalm 18:39 Dear Heavenly Father,
Teach me to receive hardship through the lens of Your purpose. When suffering comes because of Christ, keep my heart from bitterness and self-pity. Let trials become fellowship with Your Son, shaping me for the joy that will be revealed. Anchor me in the hope that present affliction is not meaningless, but is being used to conform me to Christ. Lord Jesus Christ, You were rejected and yet remained faithful. When I am misunderstood or insulted for Your name, remind me that I share in Your path. Let me not seek vindication from the world, but rest in the blessing You declare. Form in me a quiet strength—courage to stand, and grace to respond with gentleness and truth. Holy Spirit, rest upon me as the Spirit of glory. Strengthen me for every spiritual battle, not with worldly power, but with endurance, peace, and steadfast faith. Go before me, subdue what opposes Your will, and establish within me a confidence that rests in the victory of Christ. “For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.” (2 Corinthians 4:17) Amen.
