DAILY BREAD — Fear Stilled in Everlasting Arms ADVICE: Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion. John 12:15 PROMISE: The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Deuteronomy 33:27 PRAYER: Into Your hands I commit my spirit. Psalm 31:5 Dear Heavenly Father,
When fear rises, bring me under Your command and Your care at once. Your word does not merely forbid fear; it redirects it into trust. Teach me to interpret my circumstances through Your nearness and sovereignty. Let Your presence quiet what my understanding cannot resolve, and anchor me in the refuge that does not shift. Lord Jesus Christ, You came in humility, yet with full authority, entering not as a victim of events but as the King who governs them. Train my sight to read my life the same way—under Your reign. When the future feels uncertain, keep me from measuring it by my control or foresight. Fix my confidence in Your kingship, where even weakness becomes the pathway of Your purposes. Holy Spirit, make real to me the truth that beneath all visible things are the everlasting arms. Sustain me at the level of trust, where surrender is not collapse but rest. Teach me to commit my spirit into the Father’s hands—not only at the end, but in every moment of need—so that dependence becomes my steady posture. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” (Psalm 46:1–2) Amen.
