  • Calvin Church Potluck: There will be a Church potluck on June 14 after the Service.
  • The Clarion: Calvin’s publication, The Clarion, is accepting submissions. Please send your submissions to Marcela at marcela@calvinchurch.ca.
  • Couples Group: You are warmly invited for a Couples Group on Friday, May 22 at 6pm, in the Church Library. It is a sacred and welcoming space to deepen communication, strengthen intimacy, and grow in understanding and love—with God at the centre of our relationships.

THANK YOU for supporting this year's Eastertide Garage Sale!

We raised over $2700! The number is still ticking up, as Willow is still selling leftover items on Facebook Marketplace and Kijiji. 

If you still have any item donations you wish for Tim and Willow to sell on your behalf, please let them know at music-leaders@gmail.com.

We learned many lessons this year (including much feedback on the ticket system...). We look forward to future editions of this event!
THE EASTERTIDE GARAGE SALE IS EXTENDED! Due to some scheduling mix-ups, our original plan to get the thrift store to pick up our leftovers has fallen through. This means that we will run our sale on Sunday, May 3, 2026 and Monday, May 4, 2026 at the following hours:
  • Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 12:00pm to 3pm
  • Monday, May 4, 2026 from 12:00pm to 3pm

Come make a deal, and please tell your friends and family! Share our Facebook event to help us gain visibility for this last-minute extension.
UPDATE: We are accepting item donations at Calvin Presbyterian Church on Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8pm, and on Thursday morning from 10am to 7:30pm!

Here are some important announcements:

  • One Church Ecumenical Prayer and Worship Gathering at Calvin: On Wednesday, January 28, One Church will lead a prayer gathering with ecumenical prayer and worship from 11:45 to 1:15pm. Lunch will be provided at a cost of $5. Please see the website www.onechurchkw.ca for more information and to register.
  • Moron Church, Cuba: In late January, Rev. Szatmari will be travelling to Cuba and will be visiting our brothers and sisters at the Moron Church. The situation in Cuba remains to be very bad for their citizens and shortages of food, water and medical supplies continue. If you took one of the jars that Rev. Szatmari provided in November, it is now time to return them to the church. The intention was that you would place a coin in the jar whenever you felt blessed. We are so fortunate here in Canada and perhaps we can share some of our good fortune with them. You can also provide a donation by giving Bonnie Street cash, cheque or by e-transfer to bonnie.l.street@gmail.com. Donations must be received by Sunday, January 25, 2026.

  • January 16, 2026: Budget figures for 2026 are due. Please email your budget to Frank Thompson at frank.thompson@calvinchurch.ca.
  • January 24, 2026: All reports to be included in the Annual Report are due. Please email your report to Marcela at marcela@calvinchurch.ca.
  • February 22, 2026: Annual Meeting immediately following the worship service.
