Alleluia! Christ is Risen, He is Risen indeed, Alleluia! I extend wishes of a beautiful and happy Easter to all parishioners, staff, and visitors at Calvin who are the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Let us celebrate Jesus, who is the resurrection and the life. This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.
After the Lord Jesus was crucified on Friday, His body was taken down from the cross, and buried in a cave tomb. The tomb was guarded by Roman Soldiers and an enormous stone was put over the entrance, so that no-one could steal the body. On the Sunday, Mary Magdalene, followed later by some of Jesus' disciples who visited the tomb and found that the stone had been moved, and that Jesus' body had gone. The Lord Jesus, through his cross and resurrection, has destroyed the power of sin and death and brought us into His life. Christ has won for us victory over the grave.
Easter is a celebration of the eternal life that awaits his followers.
May the resurrected Lord bring you hope, faith and love. If you will embrace Him, you will experience His blessing in many ways.
"Alleluia! He is Risen!"
