Worship

Our worship at Calvin Church is both gentle and creative.  It is a delight to laugh together and to sing with joy.  It is also important to consider how we can be part of God’s compassion for our community and our world.  Worship on Sunday mornings and special occasions encourages us to grow in our faith, and support our neighbour, both locally and internationally.

Music is a vital part of our worship.  We are blessed with a music director who is able to support the singing of the people using both the organ and the piano.  Our minister also is music oriented, and has been known to break out into song during the sermon time, and to help lead music with his guitar.  People participate in leading worship by being in the adult choir, the praise team, singing in solo or in a small group, reading scripture, or by playing a musical instrument.

Recently, we have been using a power point projector and screen in our worship.  This technology has been used for areas like congregational singing, scripture reading, and special video presentations
